Climbing a mountain doesn't happen accidentally but requires intention to do it. So, if you are the one with such intention but never tried any peak climbs then, Yala peak is perfect for you. It is a “trekking peak” in the Langtang Region of Nepal that doesn't require any type of prior experience and technical training. It is classed as Grade F (facile/easy) on the Alpine Grading system although this can vary by a point or so depending on the snow conditions.
The summit of Yala peak is located at 5,500 m (18,000 ft) above sea level and gives surprisingly good views of Shishapangma, including the Ganesh Himal, Langtang Lirung, and Dorje Lakpa, if you are lucky enough with the weather. The trek to Yala Peak begins in Syabrubesi and follows the Langtang Valley trekking route. The trek is a moderate one and takes about 7-8 days to complete. Along the way, trekkers will pass through beautiful forests, traditional villages, and high altitude grazing lands.
The Langtang region is home to the Tamang people who have a rich cultural heritage. Trekking to Yala Peak offers an opportunity to interact with the locals and experience their unique culture and way of life. The best time to climb Yala Peak is during the spring (March-May) and autumn (September-November) seasons when the weather is dry and clear.
Overall, Yala Peak is a great choice for climbers who are looking for an achievable climb. With the help of experienced guides and proper preparation, you can summit Yala Peak and create memories that will last a lifetime.
Upon your arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, you will be greeted by a representative from the company and transferred to your hotel. You can spend the rest of the day exploring the city and preparing for the trek. Our Guide will brief you about the trek over dinner.
