The fourth-highest mountain in the world, Mt. Lhotse is not something climbers should overlook. It is situated between Tibet and Nepal. Only a few occasions have anybody successfully climbed its difficult South Face. The Lhotse expedition departs from Kathmandu, and it takes roughly seven days to walk to the base camp. High levels of physical fitness, technical climbing knowledge, and mental toughness are needed for the ascent. To get to the summit, the trail passes via the Khumbu icefall, lateral moraine, west ridge, Lhotse wall, and steep rock parts. For those who have already scaled summits of 7000 meters or above, the excursion is appropriate.
