Detailed Itinerary
In the early morning, you will take a Mount Everest flight which takes around 1 hour. Various airlines offer mountain flights in Nepal and you can choose the one you like the most. The feeling of being above the tallest mountain and series of other mountains in the world is thrilling and magical. You can have a great experience as well as great photos of mountains glistering by the light of the sun. You also get to see the view from the cockpit with the pilot one by one.
After your mountain round trip you will have breakfast and start full day sightseeing. First of all, we take you to Patan Durbar Square which is rich in ancient art and archeology and situated at the center of Lalitpur. It is also listed in UNESCO world heritage site due to ancient sculptures, wood carvings, pagoda style temples and other structures which were built during the Malla period in the 1600s. Royal palace where Malla kings resided is the major attraction and Krishna Mandir, Bhimsen Temple, Vishwanath Temple as well as Taleju Bhawani Temple are in the vicinity of the Durbar Square. It is a center of both Hinduism and Buddhism,with 136 "bahals" (courtyards) and 55 major temples. Lunch in Patan.
Now, we will take you to one of the oldest and largest Hindu temples which is also listed in UNESCO world heritage site ‘Pashupatinath Temple’. The time of its establishment is still being known to the world but the current form of the temple was constructed in 1692 CE. It is a collection of temples, ashrams, images and inscriptions which takes you centuries back from the current technological world. You can see Bagmati River on the banks of which cremation ritual is performed.
After this we’ll take you to Boudhanath stupa which is also the latest Buddhists stupa in the world. You can see a lot of pilgrims walking in the clockwise direction around the giant stupa and turning the prayer wheels. You visit surrounding monasteries and receive blessings from Buddhists monks. Ghyoilisang Peace Park (also known as Buddha Peace Park) and its pond is only 2 min walk from Boudhanath and you’ll visit this park as well. A lot of souvenirs and handicrafts as well as Thangka paintings can be discovered in the Boudhanath area. Moreover, you’ll have a lot of options to try out various local cuisine in rooftop hotels and restaurants.
In the evening, you will have dinner and return to your hotel.
