Photography and Filming

Nepal is a beautiful and diverse country that offers ample opportunities for photography and filming. With proper planning and modern filming equipment, you can capture the stunning landscapes, cultural heritage, and natural beauty of this country through your lens.

Nepal is accessible by air through the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu the airport is well connected to major cities around the world, and there are several airlines that operate regular flights to and from Nepal. It is also connected by land from Kakarvitta, Birgunj, Bhairawa and Nepalgunj. The best time to visit Nepal for photography and filming is during the autumn and spring seasons when the weather is clear, the skies are blue, and the landscapes are lush and green. 

Best Locations: Nepal offers a variety of locations that are ideal for photography and filming. The Himalayan range is one of the most popular destinations for landscape photography, with peaks like Mount Everest and Annapurna providing stunning backdrops. Kathmandu, the capital city, is a hub of cultural heritage and architecture, while Pokhara offers serene lakes and panoramic views of the mountains. Chitwan National Park is another popular location for wildlife and nature photography.

We work with an excellent team of professional Photographers and use the latest Camera equipment and Drones. We also facilitate foreign Drone registration process at the Flight Safety Department, Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal. 

Permits: Depending on the location and nature of your photography or filming project, you may need to obtain permits from different entities of Nepal Government. The permit process can be complex and time-consuming but with our experience, we are able to obtain the fliming permits. We will assist you with the application process.

Cultural Sensitivity: Nepal is a country with diverse cultures and traditions. When taking photographs or filming in public spaces, it's important to be respectful of local customs and beliefs. Always ask for permission before taking photographs of people, especially in rural areas. Avoid photographing religious sites during prayer or meditation, and dress modestly when visiting temples and other places of worship.

Equipment: When traveling to Nepal for photography or filming, it's important to bring the necessary equipment. A good quality camera, a tripod, extra batteries or enduro batteries and memory cards, and any other accessories you may need are essential. Consider bringing a drone if you plan to capture aerial shots of the landscapes. Drone has to be officially registered and you need 3 business or working day so plan for your arrival in advance. You may also require to carry receipts of drone purchase.
