The Manaslu Circuit and Tsum Valley Trek is a popular trekking route in Nepal that showcases the stunning natural beauty and rich cultural heritage of the region. This hike offers stunning views of the Manaslu and Ganesh Himal mountains while passing through rural towns, steep passes, pristine forests, and historic monasteries.
Macha Khola or Jagat serves as the starting point for the walk, which then follows the Budhi Gandaki River through the lovely communities. The Tsum Valley, home to chortens, mani walls, and historic Buddhist monasteries, will subsequently be reached.
The walk continues after touring the Tsum Valley in the direction of the Manaslu Circuit, which is regarded as one of the most difficult and adventurous treks in Nepal. The Larkya La Pass, which gives breathtaking views of the surrounding peaks, is the high point of the Manaslu Circuit.

Upon arrival at Kathmandu airport, you will be welcomed by our representative and transferred to your hotel. You will receive a briefing of the trip after refreshing. You can visit a temple or historical site depending on your time of arrival.
Kathmandu - Machha Khola - Jagat
Starting early we will drive to Machha Khola or Jagat. Initially we will drive along the Prithivi Highway, but then turn off to a rougher road as we head into Gorkha. We will pass through Lapresi; a Gurung village and Nauli Khola on the way.
Jagat - Ghattekhola - Eklebhatti
The route starts to leave the Manaslu Circuit trail and head towards Tsum valley trekking trail. The trek is 4 hours and you’ll have lunch on the way. You will cross Ghatte Khola river. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel in Eklebhatti.
Eklebhatti - Chumling
You travel an uneven trail through the forest as we stroll along the south bank of Siyar Khola. You’ll go through Sardi Gorge and ascend to Chumling where you’ll be spending the night.
Chumling - Chhekampar
The trail continues along the North of Siyar Khola where the valley is now much wider than before. We walk through the villages of Phurbe and Pangdun before continuing to the Nile and finally, reach to Chhekampar where we stay for the night.
Chhekampar - Mugompa
We ascend the path to Mu Gompa and explore the monastery there. Mu Gompa was created by Drupa Rinpoche. He was a Bhutanese lama who spent his time in meditation in a cave not far from where the monastery is now. At 3,700 meters above sea level, Mu Gompa is situated amid tall mountains. It is possible to take walks above the monastery to see the valley.
Mugompa - Lukpa
Now, you will descend down to Lukpa and trek for 5 hours. Lunch will be on the way and reach to Mugompa and spend the night there. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel.
Lukpa - Deng
You will join the Manaslu circuit trek and start your walk to Deng. You’ll cross the bridge over Buri Gandaki to join the main Manaslu Circuit trail up to Deng village. We enter Deng through a Buddhist stone arch known as a Kani.
Deng - Dhap
On this day, the trail follows Budi Gandaki River Valley. This area is known as Kutang and is inhabited by Gurungs who follow Buddhism. We will head up towards the west, then drop into the Shringi Khola Valley. And with a few moderate ups and downs, we will reach Ghap.
Ghap - Lho Gaun
On this day, the trail will head into the forest filled with fir. We will pass along Budi Gandaki, making a long climb through bamboo and rhododendron forests to Namrung (2,670m/ 8,760 feet). From Namrung we will enter the famous Nupri Region and continue to Lho.
Lho Gaun - Samagaun
On this day, we will start early and pass through Shyala. The people in the village of Shyala arey engaged in agricultural activity. We will climb a steep trail to the edge of the glacier Pung Gyen and reach Samagaon. We will stay overnight here.
Visitors get to see spectacular views of Mt. Manaslu, Manaslu North, and Naike Peak from Samagaon. On this day, trekkers will rest and acclimatize for the hike up. If you'd like to stretch your legs then we can hike to visit the Pung Gyen Monastery or Manaslu Base Camp.
Samagaun - Samdo
On this day we will follow the Budii Gandaki River in the Himalayan terrain. As the valley widens we will pass through the forests to Kermo Kharka. The trail starts to descend from there and we will get into White Stone Khani. After few hours, we will finally reach Samdo.
Samdo - Dharmashala
The trail from Samdo to Dharmashala will be relatively shorter part of our trek. We will move along the trail through the Athahra Saya River and Larke River. We will pass through the Taka Choeling Gumba. We get stunning views of Naike and Pangbuche Peak from there. From here, the trail gets steeper to Dharmashala.
Dharmashala - Larkya Pass - Bhimtang
Dharmasala to Bimthang distance is 24.7 km / 15.3 miles which takes about 7 - 9 hours. On this day, we will cross the Larkya La Pass (5140m) to reach Bimthang. Trekkers start early for the long trek. On the way, visitors will see spectacular views of Cho Danda and Larkya Peak.
Bhimtang - Gho
On this day, we will descend through pine and rhododendron forests to Hompuk, passing the edge of the Dudh Khola. After 8 hours of trek, we will reach the village of Gho.
Gho - Chamche
It is the last day of our trek. We will descend to Chamche from Gho. Along the way we will be passing an ethnic Gurung village called Tilje. We will cross the Dudh Khola river and in few hours of downhill trek we will reach Chamche.
Chamche - Besishahar
It is the last day of the trek and you walk to Besishahar, which is a small village but connects Annapurna Base Camp route and various parts of Nepal. Annapurna II, Machhapuchhre, Lamjung Himal can be viewed from north of Besishahar Municipality. Dinner and overnight stay at Besishahar.
Besishahar - Kathmandu
After having breakfast, you’ll drive to Kathmandu and stay overnight at Kathmandu. Lunch will be on the way. We will organize a dinner and farewell program for you.
Finally, You will check out from the hotel and depart to your destination. Our staff will pick you up from the hotel and take you to the airport.
