Bhutan, known as the "Land of the Thunder Dragon," is a beautiful country nestled in the eastern Himalayas. With stunning mountain landscapes, ancient monasteries, colorful festivals, and friendly locals, Bhutan offers a unique travel experience that is hard to find anywhere else. Upon arrival at Kathmandu International Airport, you will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel. You can spend the rest of the day exploring the temples and historical parts of the city.
After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Paro, Bhutan. Upon arrival in Paro, you will be met by a representative of the tour operator and transferred to your hotel. In the afternoon, you can visit the National Museum of Bhutan and the Paro Dzong, two of the most important cultural attractions in Bhutan.
After breakfast, you will hike to the iconic Tiger's Nest Monastery, one of the most famous and picturesque sites in Bhutan. The hike takes around 3-4 hours and offers stunning views of the surrounding landscape. In the afternoon, you can visit the Kyichu Lhakhang, one of the oldest and most sacred temples in Bhutan.
After breakfast, you will drive to Punakha, the ancient capital of Bhutan. Along the way, you will stop at the Dochu La Pass, which offers stunning views of the Himalayan Mountains. In Punakha, you can visit the Punakha Dzong, one of the most impressive and historically significant fortresses in Bhutan.
Today, you can explore Punakha further and visit some of the local attractions, such as the Chimi Lhakhang, a temple dedicated to the 'Divine Madman' and known for its fertility blessings. You can also take a leisurely walk through the rice fields and visit some of the local villages.
After breakfast, you will drive to Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan. Along the way, you can stop at the Dochula Pass and the Druk Wangyal Lhakhang Temple. In Thimphu, you can visit the Tashichho Dzong, the National Memorial Chorten, and the Buddha Dordenma, a massive statue of Buddha overlooking the city.
On this day, after breakfast, you can explore Thimphu further and visit some of the local markets and shops, where you can find traditional Bhutanese handicrafts and textiles. You can also visit the Folk Heritage Museum and the National Institute for Zorig Chusum, where you can learn about traditional Bhutanese arts and crafts.
After breakfast, you will drive back to Paro, where you can spend the rest of the day at leisure. You can visit some of the local markets and shops, or simply relax and enjoy the views.
After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight back to Kathmandu, where you can catch your connecting flight back home. the same day or the next day.
